We collect different categories of information depending on how you interact with our platform.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
When you use our tools without an account, we collect your IP address, the queries you submit, browser type and version, and timestamps of usage.
We log tool queries, results metadata, and related timestamps to maintain service quality and prevent abuse.
We collect device type, operating system, browser information, and screen resolution for service optimization and security purposes.
BinVerify processes only the first 6 to 8 digits of payment card numbers (the BIN/IIN). We do not collect, store, or process full card numbers at any point.
We use collected information for the following purposes:
We do not use your personal data for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
BinVerify does not use your personal data for user profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you. Risk scores generated by our tools are outputs of the verification process applied to the queried data — they are not assessments of you as an individual.
We share data with third-party service providers strictly as necessary to operate the platform. These providers fall into the following categories:
Traffic routing, DDoS protection, and content delivery (e.g., Cloudflare). These providers may process your IP address and request metadata.
Usage analytics to understand how the platform is used and to improve service quality (e.g., Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity).
Subscription and payment handling (e.g., Stripe). Payment data is processed directly by the payment provider and is not stored on our servers.
Transactional email delivery for account-related communications.
BIN and card data lookups through external verification databases to provide accurate results.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We may disclose personal information when required by law, court order, or other governmental request with proper jurisdiction.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When you close your account, your personal data is anonymized or deleted in accordance with our retention schedule. Certain data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate operational purposes such as fraud prevention and legal compliance.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@binverify.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Tool outputs, including verification results and risk scores, are generated by BinVerify and remain the intellectual property of BinVerify. Data subject rights apply to your personal data, not to tool-generated outputs.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we are committed to notifying affected users and relevant authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
